Gym Bro Privacy Policy: Your Data Stays With You

Last updated: November 24, 2025

At Gym Bro, we believe your workout data is personal. It's a record of your hard work, your consistency, and your progress. It belongs to you, not us.

We built Gym Bro to be the ultimate offline workout tracker. This means we designed it from the ground up to minimize data collection and maximize privacy. Here is a transparent breakdown of how we handle your information.

## 1. The Short Version

We don't want your data.

We don't have a server database of your workouts. We don't sell your lifting stats to advertisers. We don't even require you to create an account.

## 2. Where Your Data Lives

It lives on your phone.

When you log a workout, save a routine, or record a PR, that information is stored in a local database directly on your device.

*   Offline First: Because your data is local, you can use the app completely offline.

*   Your Control: If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it (unless you've backed it up manually).

## 3. Third-Party Services

We use a minimal set of third-party tools to make the app work better.

*   Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): We use this to send you local notifications, like your rest timer alerts. FCM might collect basic device identifiers to ensure messages get to the right phone, but it doesn't see your bench press max or your workout history.

## 4. Permissions We Ask For

We only ask for permissions when we absolutely need them for a feature you're using.

*   Notifications: So we can tell you when your rest period is over.

## 5. Changes to This Policy

If we ever decide to change how we handle data (like adding cloud backup features in the future), we will update this post and notify you through the app.

## 6. Contact Us

Have questions? Want to know more about how the app works? Feel free to reach out. We're here to help you get strong, not to harvest your data.
